 Dr. Hernández is Co-Project Director Assistant Professor, Controlled Environment/GreenhouseTeam Leader, and an expert in controlled environment horticulture strategies at NC State University. His research is focused on optimizing and the control of environmental factors for the propagation and production in specialty crops, utilizing greenhouse and closed environment systems. He also is an entrepreneur and the Chief Scientific Officer of a grafting start-up company, focusing on Precise Indoor Propagation production of vegetable transplants funded with two USDA-SBRI grants.
